Amerie : One Thing - I hope this was this year…Anyway, it took a minute to hit, but when people figured out how to dance to it, it was hard. Rich Harrison goodness and gobble gobble was dynamite. Roza is the one thing master.
Lil Kim : Lighter’s Up and Foxy Brown : Come Fly With Me - Crazy similar, I prefer Foxy’s jam, but the “call out every city ever” with Kim is a no-brainer. Going to jail is more appealing than going deaf, too…i guess. (Both were Jamrock coattailers, Kim took it the extra mile and jocked ms. hill)
Bun B ft the Ying Yang Twinz : Git It, Ying Yang Twinz ft Pitbull : Shake, Twista ft. Pitbull : Hit The Floor - Uptempo Smurf/Collipark TAKEOVER. All these make it easier to slide in to random booty bass at parties of idiots and I am never mad at that. Bun tears down ‘Git It’, by the way.
Keak the Sneak : SUPER HYPHY - Undeniable. So weirdly bay. MAGICAL.
Mariah Carey : Shake it Off - smooth bounce is very necessary. Singalong bounce is where it is at. I like girls, girls like this song.
Mac Dre and Mac Mall ft. E-40 : Dredio - Dumb hot. You can’t NOT dance to the royalclash. Mac Dre’s voice gets you weirdly thizzed, but the beat keeps you uptempo and Mall just makes you dumb hype. 40 water cleans it up and the song has everything. I just wish it was mastered better on the 12″. TONE SHIFT.
Bloc Party : Banquet - Unggggh this song is hot. No remixes do it justice in my opinion. The drums are perfectly loose (not to mention ideal fills). Vocal delivery just on the cusp of being annoying but break off and keep it sane. It’s just freakin good and I hate how people look when they dance to it. Fuck the cobrasnake!
Mike Jones : Still Tippin and Paul Wall : Sittin Sideways - Salih Williams encapsulated what I would want to have in my beats. Goopy syrupy Bass and strings. Paul Wall just sounds like a nice guy. More carats than bugs bunny’s lunch indeed. (can anyone get me that salih williams MIA remix?)
Ol’ Dirty Bastard ft. Ludacris : Coochie and 3 6 Mafia : Pussy Got Ya Hooked - no comment but they are too ridiculously hot it hurts. Get them. Now.
David Banner : Play - beejae wanted me to put wait up here, but I first heard that last year, so Im not (sorry). It definitely was 05 though, i just dont wanna think about it anymore. Play on the other hand is another collipark sure shot. I, like Kim Jong-Il, am a strong supporter of the female orgasm as a route to gender equality. Thumbs up to david banner for helping the cause.
Sean Paul : We Be Burnin - If only for the reaction when Calalo dropped it at body rock. Good ass song though.
Kelly Clarkson : Since You Been Gone - IT’S GOOD. STFU. Drop “Oh” into the bridge after the second chorus and see goodness.
Jay Valentine ft. Bailey : Go Dumb - “I’m Sprung” sucks…this takes any good of that song and discards the shit (read: vocoder). STUNNAS ONNNNNNNN.
Richie Spice : Youths Are So Cold - Damn rootsy but still got mad radio play in NYC?
Spankrock : Put That Pussy On Me - When Caps and Jones dropped the remix at milk, i melted.
Purple Ribbon All Stars : Kryptonite - SHIT IS FIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIRE!
Gorillaz : Feel Good Inc - Damon and co. with Dangermouse come back in a big way.
Missy Elliot : Lose Control - Mixes with Kelly Clarkson and is a Cybotron beat. What else?
Busta Rhymes ft. ODB : Where’s Your Money? and Busta Rhymes : Touch It - Crazy performances all over these two tracks. ODB goes nuts on “money,” Swizz samples Daft Punk, Busta yells and maintains perfect control. Looking forward to the album. (plus: have you listened to the bassline of “where’s your money?”)

i think you should add “wait” to the list. crazy insane whomping bass with no attack … and when the snares come in… uuuughhhhh. or was that song last year. time with regard to music gets warped in a record store. does laffy taffy get mention as the best worst song a dj has to play? “touch the sky” gets high ranking… not just for being a crazy beat, but the hottest song on kanye’s album isnt produced by kanye? next level sonning in my opinion. … uhm i have alot of opinions… i think ill post em in my blog. peacers
