Im sick as fuck, can’t sleep (cause I shouldnt. it’s only 11:20, but I feel like I need to), and I have mad schoolwork to do. Kanye and The People’s Champ are telling me what to do and I am not mad. Late Registration is what I expected and I am glad of it. Jon Brion is so all over it. His textures, Kanye’s drums. I am liking this, and there are no triple time hi-hats or slack key anythings. hella melancholic.
Alienating, disappointing, and generally pissing people off left and right has been my primary ability du semaine.
Alas, I shall save such self-serving whinings for the split pea green hole of despair and silence.
All that anyone around me needs to know is that, yes, them unstoppables, aka them caps and them jones, aka pandemonium and illegibility personified will be (are in) our neck of the woods and will be playing music for people to let their groins explode to at Milk on Friday. Thinks I better be there.
Next friday, the bay hits the fillmore…This gets a major “like, what. the. fuck?” BIG UPS TO PHATRICK. Dude is spinning at the freakin Fillmore. How real is that. I drove dude around last sunday. Like a chauffeur.
The primary car of my early childhood was a giant brown caprice classic that would run without a key in the ignition.
